Dear MK-User,

The following four titles can be found in the MK423:
1545. Sleep Walk. Ricky King, the German guitar legend has sold over 6 million records and released more than 30 albums. He is enjoying huge international success and is once again delighting his fans with a new album. He lets melodies glitter like diamonds on his guitar - "Blue Diamonds" is the name of his new CD work, which contains 18 tracks written by himself and others. The living legend of guitar music, as he likes to be called, landed a firework of hits when he started his career in the late 70s. "Sleep Walk" is an instrumental song written, recorded and released by American rock and roll instrumental duo Santo & Johnny Farina in 1959 and was the last #1 instrumental for Santo and Johnny.

1546. Inspector Barnaby Theme is a British crime film series about the cases of detective Tom Barnaby or (from the 14th season) his successor John Barnaby in the fictional southern English county of Midsomer - since 1997 under the original title 'Midsomer Murderers'. German language premiere in 2005 as 'Inspector Barnaby'! The "singing saw in waltz time" leads us melancholy into the pretty traditional British houses - according to a TV reviewer - but it is not the "singing saw", but a "non-contact", electric musical instrument invented in 1920 called "Theremin" (After the Inventor Leon Termen) with a truly unique sound - where the position of the hands opposite two electrode antennas controls pitch and volume.

1547. Folksong Medley 6. Klaus Wunderlich (*1931†1997) was a German musician. He has been awarded a total of 13 gold records, one gold music cassette, and one silver record. Wunderlich was the first German entertainment musician to make the electronic organ popular with a larger audience - and created his own organ style that people still want to play today. His music was always aimed at light entertainment, but he played all kinds of music, from classical to jazz and Latin to folk. In the 1970s he set up his own 8-channel recording studio in Reichenbach near Karlsruhe. Here he has put together 3 well-known folk songs and played them back in his modern way - he always played all the instruments and even the "real" drums himself!

1548. Lehar Potpourri 06. The complete James Last Lehar CD is already in the MWP list as a special project - with this arrangement 5 potpourris are ready to be played (see www.musikradic.de/Happy-Lehar.htm). Two operetta songs from "The Land of Smiles" and one from the operetta "Schön ist die Welt" form a potpourri in a very special James Last presentation: relatively aggressive brass group with a soft trombone (trombone) played against it. The musical landscape is contrasted by quiet passages with only the basic bass and then again a very flexible bass lead over eighth notes - and everything is useless: The Land of Smiles does not have a happy ending. Lisa (the "fifth" bride) desperately realizes that she has no support in this foreign land, the incompatibility of characters and cultures has no future...
